Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we are traveling through the Book of Acts. And in this book, we are getting a great

view of the early church. This is important for us as we seek to know what God would have for our

church today. We are currently in chapter 6, where the church is multiplying. But there are problems

in this multiplication. Let's now join Pastor John for our study and see how the church meets these challenges.

In Acts chapter 6, we left off seeing God's mind-blowing mathematics.

And that is, we have seen the church growing.

The Lord added daily to the church, such as should be saved.

We read that in Acts chapter 2.

And here in Acts chapter 6, we see the church multiplying,

not simply addition, but now multiplication.

But keep in mind that between the addition to the church and the multiplication of the church, there was a period of subtraction from the church.

And that we saw in our study last week in Chapter 5.

Ananias and Sapphire were subtracted.
