Carrie Green. I'm thankful you're here. Let's dive in. We are wrapping up the book of 1st Peter and we are finally at our very last

episode covering the book of 1st Peter. In verses 13 and 14 of chapter Chapter 5, Peter says, she who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you

greet one another with the kiss of love.

Peter is kind of a softy here it seems like to me and that's not said in a derogatory way.

Peter has become this tender sensitive guy who loves people.

If you look back in the Gospels and you see how Peter's characterized,

he was a fisherman, so he's a blue collar type worker.

He could have been crusty and rough around the edges,

and we see in many of his actions that he seems

a bit brash and bold and he was one who often seemed to leap before he looked.

But we see here a different side of Peter and perhaps it was there all along, or

perhaps something that the spirit of God in his life had manifested more and more over time.

But he's very connected to people. People mattered to Peter. You see

in verse 12 which we didn't read but he refers to someone named

Sylvanus and he calls him a faithful brother so he's quick to

point out the good happening in other people's lives. Here in verse 13 he says she
