Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. If you are new to the

morning mindset my name is Carrie Green I am a retired pastor who just can't

seem to retire I no longer make my living as a pastor serving local churches.

I am an entrepreneur, but I just can't quit teaching the word of God. I feel very much like it's an issue of stewardship for me that I need to be using the gifts God has given me in the morning mindset is how I'm doing that.

I'm doing it to help you get your mind aligned with the truth of God every day because I believe it's vital if we are to live a life

that brings glory to God and fulfills his purposes.

So welcome, I'm glad you're with us.

We are wrapping up the book of 1st Peter. We're in 1st

Peter chapter 5 verses 12 13 and 14 are what I'm going to read today and I think

we'll have a few episodes here on these verses alone, but this is what's called by those who

compile the scriptures. It's Peter's final greeting to the people who are reading this letter.

And it's actually a very long letter, isn't it, five chapters worth.

But in that day, they would write long letters

because they didn't know when they would be able to speak

to those people again.

They may not even see them because they didn't have the luxury of cars and

planes and ways to get places quickly.

They walked, they rode donkeys, they rode horses, camels, those sorts of things.

So Paul wrote this long letter and here he's bringing his final greetings and he says,

by Sylvanas, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and

declaring that this is the true grace of God.

Stand firm in it. She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son.
