It is that this knowledge of the truth and he's talking about the truth of the gospel,

right?

When we know the gospel rightly, then that produces godliness in us.

And it works that way, not the other way.

Amen.

It's God's work in us that produces Godliness in hope of eternal life, which God,

who never lies promised before the ages began, and at the proper time manifested

in His Word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by the command of God, our Savior.

So the knowledge of truth that

last phrase through the preaching with I have been entrusted.

He's writing this letter to Titus and he's encouraging Titus to

engage in this preaching with which Paul has been entrusted and to appoint elders who will engage in this

teaching with which Paul has been entrusted so that the people of God may have that knowledge of the truth which accords with

godliness. All right with that in mind let's look here at Titus chapter two, and we'll note a couple of things here in Titus chapter two.

And we'll note a couple of things here in Titus chapter two. One is what I like to refer to as this the three-legged stool of discipleship.

These three legs are incredibly important.

And it's not that he's arguing that one of these,

you know, has more or less importance but the point is how they all work to we see

them all here in those first 10 verses of chapter 2.

And again, remember, we're talking about the centrality of the home

in evangelism and discipleship for the next generation.
