| 1:24.1 | But what's amazing about the conversation I have with John is that I had the opportunity to visit him |
| 1:31.3 | at his facility and his studio over there at the gallery and I just saw some amazing, amazing things. |
| 1:38.3 | For some of you who may not familiar with Huntington or may know it largely because of the garden, they have |
| 1:45.1 | an incredible archive of books and documents and artwork and it's John and his staff's |
| 1:51.6 | responsibility to take photographs of these things and in some cases make photographs |
| 1:57.6 | in digital documents of items and artwork that are hundreds of years old. |
| 2:04.9 | It was just phenomenal to walk around the studio and look at the work and to see not only |
| 2:11.9 | a great facility, but also to see how photography plays such an important role in being able |
| 2:21.2 | to maintain our history, our visual history, whether it's embodied in a photograph or whether |
| 2:27.3 | it's embodied in a book or in a piece of artwork. |
