Summary

Freeman Patterson is a the epitome of what is sometimes referred to as a "photographer's photographer". His many years as a photographer and a teacher has influenced and inspired generations of photographers all over the world. The insight he brings into the craft of photography is both generous and eye-awakening.Although Freeman does much of his photographic work at home, he travels widely to photograph and to teach. Since 1973 he has frequently presented half-day and all-day seminars to large groups (50 to 4000 persons) in the visual arts, music, education, and ecology across Canada, the United States, and in other countries. That's right. I've been here for two years and now 50 episodes. It's really hard to believe.

When I started this thing, you know, I knew that it would be successful, but I don't think I really had in mind that I'd still be around here two years later still doing it.

I think I had hopes that I would be.

But I'm really pleased that, you know, where I met with the show, and I'm especially pleased all the great photographers that I've had a chance to meet in an interview over the course of the last 50 episodes. And when it came down to episode 50,
