In the season 4 special of British Murders, I tell the story of Levi Bellfield, aka “The Bus Stop Killer”.
Bellfield was found guilty on February 25, 2008, of the murders of Marsha McDonnell and Amélie Delagrange and the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy, for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
On June 23, 2011, Bellfield was found guilty of a third murder, 13-year-old schoolgirl Amanda “Milly” Dowler.
Bellfield is the only UK serial killer to be handed two whole life orders, meaning he will never be considered for parole.
In the first episode of this 2 part special, we'll focus on Bellfield’s childhood and background before the murders.
Next week, we'll discuss the murders themselves as well as the trials that followed.
