Summary

In the season 4 special of British Murders, I'm telling the story of Levi Bellfield, aka “The "Bus Stop Killer”.⁣⁣

Bellfield was found guilty on February 25, 2008, of the murders of Marsha McDonnell and Amélie Delagrange and the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy, for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment.⁣⁣

On June 23, 2011, Bellfield was found guilty of a third murder, 13-year-old schoolgirl Amanda “Milly” Dowler.⁣⁣

Bellfield is the only UK serial killer to be handed two whole life orders, meaning he will never be considered for parole.⁣⁣

This week we'll discuss the murders themselves as well as the trials that followed.⁣⁣

We'll be focusing on the victims this week instead of Levi Bellfield.⁣

I hope you've all had a chance to check out part one already.

1:03.0

If not, please go back and listen to that first

1:05.7

as it provides a lot of the background information and sets up part two rather nicely.

1:11.7

The reason for having two parts is that there's a ridiculous amount of information to get through

1:17.1

and one episode it simply wouldn't have done the case justice.

1:22.0

Quite frankly, two episodes for this case is barely going to scratch the surface.

I know that some people aren't keen on two-part episodes,

but seeing as it is an end-of-season special, I'm sure you'll forgive me.
