0:19.0

The second rule is going to be from episode 164, which is be an anti-martial artist.

0:26.5

And the third is going to be from episode 166.

0:30.3

And that's going to be grips first.

Big thanks for our sponsor for helping make the podcast happen, Athletic.

A-T-H-L-E-T-H-C, as the name implies it is a THC meant to sort of like microdosed. I've seen it called like the daily microdose where you take it. You're not going to be buzz out of your brain and be slobbering around and whatever else. It's just to help get you into a particular state that could be useful for certain activities. So for instance, they have one mint called flow and the whole idea about flow is it's formulated to help you get into a more flow state. Sometimes I'll take it during rolling sessions where, especially if I'm playing with something new and I just want to like play. I don't really want to win the role, so to speak. I don't want to try to get any. I just want to like see where it goes. It's, I find it helpful. It helps me get into a more relaxed state. I don't feel any groginess from it. Like years ago, I took, you know, I ate some special brownies and I felt incredibly groggy the next day. And I remember when I was taking the athletic mince,

1:28.7

I was like, I don't want to,

1:29.7

I'm really apprehensive about taking stuff because I don't want, I don't want it to mess up my flow. Right. Of, you know, it didn't. Very easy to take. And again, no groginess or nothing. If you guys want to check out any of their products, because they have several different mint formulations.

1:43.2

All of them have a very low dose of THC

1:45.7

and they have other cannabinoids along with them.

1:47.5

You can check them out at Athletic, ATH-L-E-T-H-C.com. The promo code is Chiu-Jitsu 10 for 10% off the order. Also, thanks for our sponsor, Epic Rul, for being a long-time sponsor of the podcast. They make a lot of great

2:01.1

jiu-jitsu gear. I get a lot of my stuff made through them, both for my jujitsu brand, but also the gym that I have, like our geese and rash guards and stuff. I get their stuff. Great quality stuff. Good customer service. They take care of you if you need something, if something goes wrong. They've got everything from t-shirts and rash guards and shorts and I mean everything and anything jih Tjitsu related they make it you know they're one of

2:20.5

the manufacturers that PGF uses, the professional grappling uses to help make their stuff for some of the teams. I don't know if they still are, but they were last season. But again, if you guys want to check them out and just browse to their website, see if you find anything you like, go to the website at EpicrollBJJ.com. E-P-I-C-R-O-L-L-B-J-J-J dot com. And when you get there, checkout code is Chiu-Jitsu 20 for 20% off the order. Also, thanks to our sponsor, Charles Webb. They are one of the OGs in the CBD space, the cannabinoid space. And again, they have a really well-tested, well-produced product. Again, CBD is one of those weird things where it's an unregulated market, right? So the FDA doesn't have it locked down like they do a lot of other things. And so they've done studies before where the CBD market is all over the place where, you know, you think

3:07.9

you're getting this, but you're really getting this, or you think you're getting X amount, but really you're not getting them, but you're getting less than that. And so they're one of the good guys in the CBD space where they're making a lot of good products. Everything's third party tested so you can ensure the quality of it is there. And then also, you know what you're putting in your body. On top of that, they have a lot of other different products, things like CBN products, which are great for, trying to help you get more sleep. And again, as we get older, that's kind of an important thing. It's one of our main tools for recovery is, you know, that. Everybody just wants to pop TRT and everything else. That's perfectly fine, of course, do what you want to do. But getting your sleep habits in the checker is really useful, and CBB can be, or CBN products can be really helpful to that. They also make some functional mushroom products as well, balms and rubs, anything and everything, just tons of stuff. Take a look at their website, charlesweb.com. The promo code is Chiu-Jitsu 30 for 30% off the order at checkout. out. Also, if you guys want to support the podcast directly, you can check us out at Patreon.

4:00.4

Patreon.com slash the jujitsu podcast. When you go to the website, you can look at what we have to offer. There's a bunch of perks. And again, it's a very inexpensive price. And so, again, when you join up, you get a ton of perks for, I mean, it's super cheap. We're, we're practically giving the damn thing away. You spend more at like McDonald's or Starbucks or whatever place you go to, you know, in one visit and you're done. And so again, if you guys want to check it out, go to patreon.com slash the jih Tjitsu podcast. We give you guys a bunch of extra content and exclusive stuff. And on top of that, you get to support the podcast that you're listening to, and we appreciate it.

5:04.6

Last but at least, guys, if you want to get my daily email, the Chu crew email, check it out at jujitsu.net slash join. When you join up to the jujitsu email, you will get my daily email, as I said, almost daily. And then on top of that, I will send you an e-book that goes through 12 different strategies on improving jih Tjitsu faster through focused role. And the e-book can give you some different strategies. There's also a video in case you don't want to read if you just want to listen to me, tell you. There's an e-book and a video that goes with it, but it'll give you over 12 different strategies on how to improve with focus.

5:06.1

It's one of the most important things. And if you're an older grappler, you have limited time. And I just say this because I know our demographics. We've got older people. If you're an older grappler, you have limited time training. And so you can't screw around with like, I'm just going to show up and, hey, I'm here. That's fine early on. But again, as soon as you start to actually have a little bit of skill under your belt,

5:22.0

you want to start giving it some focus and start directing it. And you don't have to be a black belt to do that. I show how to do it both from white and to black belt and everything in between. So check it out at churjitsu.net slash join, J-O-I-N, to get the daily email and get the e-book that I give away in the video.

5:55.9

Essentially, these will be sort of rules for Jiu-Jitsu or rules for BGJ or,GA or you know grappling maxims if you will.

5:57.3

I like the word maximum.
