We're in John Chapter 4 and John Chapter 4 is we're in a sermon series entitled

Revealing the Mystery and we're going through the mystery of the Book of

John that Jesus is revealed through the Book of John and John chapter one was the beginning of the mystery.

John chapter two was the beginning of the miracles.

John three was the beginning of the ministry and this week John four is the beginning of the we will go to nearly every verse in this story about the woman at the well.

And just to tell you briefly what happened, Jesus was ending his Judean ministry and beginning

his Galilean ministry. And he's going from

going from Judea to Galilee and the quickest route is through

Samaria. Most Jews though did not go through Samaria. They went around

Samaria because of prejudice, but Jesus has no prejudice.

And so he goes through Samaria the quickest route and at a well he meets a woman who's had a very difficult life and he shares with her the gospel

and leads her to salvation.

And we want to look at this because if there's any example of witnessing in the Bible that we want to learn from it's Jesus himself

this is the greatest example of witnessing in the Bible and I'm going to break it down for

you and make it very very easy you're it's going to be very simple by the time we finish this message you're

going to love this message but I do want to read one verse in John chapter 4

before we begin because the Holy Spirit spoke something to me through that verse,

actually two verses. No one verse. John 4, verse 35, says, do you not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest.

Behold I say to you lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already

white for harvest.

Now the reason I want to read that verse is because it stood out to me when I was reading

John 4.
