You're going to be here. Well folks here we are. It's the end of our fourth season haunted New Orleans.

We've now spent 17 episodes exploring the darkest corners of the most haunted city in America.

It's been a season of history, mystery, horror, spirits, scandals, and sins.

And with a city like New Orleans Orleans we know we've only managed to

scratch the surface but we hope we've given you a few cold chills along the way

as we take you along for our final episode of season four Cody and I want to say thank you once again for coming along on this ride with us.

We know that it's been a strange one and well, since you're with us, we know it's definitely

been a bumpy one. But it's you, our listeners, who are the ones that

encourage us to keep going.

So if you're ready, let's lock the doors, load the shotgun, put the jazz records on the victrola,

and keep an eye on the window in case the axe man

decides we're not playing our music loud enough tonight. Oh, I'm not. After the murder of Joe Romano, which we described at the end of the last episode,

mysterious seemed to grip the city as possible sightings of the Axman began to be reported all over town, especially in the Italian neighborhoods.

Many recent immigrants in the city were convinced the Axman was out to get them, especially those who owned grocery stores.

Was the Axman some sort of black hand or mafia assassin, or was he?

As more and more people were beginning to believe, some sort of supernatural being who had a hatred

for Italians.

Well, no one knew, which seemed to make the terror even more intense.

Families divided into watches and stood guard over their relatives as they slept.

They went about with loaded shotguns and waited for news of the latest axe-man sightings, trying

to predict where he might strike next.
