And I guess, Paul, you and I were just chatting before we came on air about what brought you

to San Diego and conservative activism.

It seemed as though you were fleeing a version of socialism in Brazil as you were living as an expat.

And now you're fighting to make sure your state doesn't follow the same path.

You picked the wrong state.

Yeah, no, of course.

Well, my dad was Navy, so we picked San Diego for that reason because I lived here as a kid.

So that's why we chose San Diego to come back.

But that's why we left Brazil.

We loved Brazil, but it became so socialist you couldn't possibly live.

Now, the chair of a county party is often someone in a constant state of hurting cats.

You have candidates.

They constantly have needs.
