90s with Rob Harvilla, host of the 60 songs that explain the 90s

podcast and Rob you now have the book version also titled 60 songs that explain the 90s it's a lot of fun it has a little bit of a d d in the best way it it has a feeling of you inevitably referenced Beavis and Butthead in the book and it has that channel flipping feeling

of how could you not it has that channel flipping 90s feeling that I presume was on purpose. It does represent the way that you could be flipping around in the 90s or going from dorm room to dorm room or whatever and hearing any number of wildly

different things depending on the year and that's what the book feels like so it

feels appropriate to the era I think if Beavis andthead could read I think they'd enjoy it.

Of course, I am honored to be mentioned in the same sense

with Beavis and Bud-I do like the image of walking down a dorm room

with doors on both sides and stereos blasting

and all of them, and just the sort of the

Doppler effect that happens is you're just going to take a shower, you know, and

you've listened to 10, you know, top 10 hits, you know, in 15 seconds. I really dig

that image as well because I do think well that's what I was trying to capture right like the

podcast now has been going for a hundred and ten episodes I think you know and consolidating 600,000 words of raw material into an 80,000 word

book was quite challenging and I do think embracing the chaos you know is the key to me

figuring out how to even begin to do it.
