Summary

What actually makes a relationship healthy—and why do so many couples miss the basics? In this episode, Jillian shares the seven principles that keep love alive, from the way you talk about your partner to the small daily habits that build connection, intimacy, and trust. Inspired by a viral post that criticized a spouse online, she breaks down why respect, praise, physical touch, honest conversations about sex, and protecting your relationship from outside distractions matter more than grand romantic gestures. So if you're in a relationship, this is going to be information that could transform your relationship.

0:21.7

And I mean that in all sincerity, what I'm about to share is some of the most important advice

0:28.6

I could ever share about being in a romantic relationship.

0:32.2

And if you're single, this is going to help you reflect on your past relationships and to prepare you for your next one

0:41.6

because this is exactly the kind of things that we need to be learning in school. This is exactly

0:48.8

the kind of things that our caretakers and our elders need to pass down to us. My inspiration for this episode is because of

1:00.1

a post that I saw read on the app threats. And it was absolutely horrifying to me. The person has since deleted it, so I can't read it

1:13.4

verbatim. But what it basically said was, I don't like my husband. And then she went on to say

1:21.7

how he's always complaining about his back hurting. She can't take it anymore. You know, he was supposed to go to the doctor.

1:31.1

He never goes to the doctor. He forgot his medication. And she hates having to like, you know,

1:39.2

he's just a big baby and went on this total rant. Two days before she, that thread, she posted a picture of her,

1:48.4

her husband, her family on a vacation and basically gushing and what a wonderful time they

1:54.9

were having. Her post complaining about her husband, and this is someone who has maybe a thousand followers

2:03.6

got something like like 75,000 likes and like 2,000 comments. So when I saw it, I just, I could not

2:14.5

believe someone had written that and then I started to look through the

2:18.2

comments. And so many of the comments were from women. And some of these women were well-known

2:25.0

influencers, very respected women in their fields of medicine and other fields, basically saying, you know, what a man child and get out,

2:37.8

and now is the time to divorce him, as if these people actually know what's going on in this

2:43.4

relationship. And look, I have no, I have no idea what's actually really going on. And maybe,

2:50.7

maybe if I knew the situation, she should leave.
