You have a paycheck coming in that needs to be replaced.

But I'm also talking about the psychological things.

Who are you without your job?

What's your sense of purpose and identity? How do you build in structure to your life? The thing that holds people back from retiring early or retiring at all isn't just the financial piece. It's this sense of who am I when work is no longer in the picture. So let's first understand how you're tied to your employer in ways that you don't even fully understand. We can then shift to seeing how firing your employer does not mean turning in your notice, but it means breaking free of those ways that you're dependent

upon them. And then finally, number three, whether you stay with your employer for the next 10 years
