My best friend and I have been BFFs since we were just kids.

Growing up 15 minutes away from Tampa is an adventure in life already.

It was nice to have a friend to enjoy it all with, and nothing was greater than having a sleepover.

Well, that is having a sleepover.

Well, that is until one sleepover that frightened us so much,

we haven't even talked about it with each other for almost 10 years now.

This sleepover was basically like all others at first.

We were at my house, we played with barbies, watched movies, read books, until we couldn't take it anymore.

Then we went to bed around 9 or 10. I turned off the lights and

climbed up to my top bunk. Both my friend and I were going to sleep on the top. As I laid down,

something immediately didn't feel right.

Prior to this, I had my mom turn the AC down, and before getting in bed I flipped on the

fan.

But as I got in bed, both the AC and my fan were turned off. fan. by I couldn't sleep. I felt like I was dying of heat stroke. I'm not sure if my friend was awake

so I say her name quietly. She responds immediately saying I can't sleep but it's not because it's hot.

I look over at her.

I can barely see her, really only her silhouette.

So I look up the ceiling and sigh, what is it then?

She responds, it's the man in the corner. When I say I got chills, I got chills.

I turned my head to look at the corner. At first I thought she was lying because I didn't see anything. I let out a breath of air. I didn't know I was holding in. As I go to adjust to my blanket, that's when I see him. A man, dark and tall, seeming to stare at both of us.
