In sales, we often hear conflicting advice, where in communications, great to listen, but

you also have to focus on value propositions.

One of those conflicts is going to be talking about today.

And it was one that changed my career quite a bit, very early.

And it was this idea of the Ivy League Street Fighter.

And I've talked about this a little bit in other podcasts.

It sounds conflicting.

And this is what we face in sales all the time, is that we have to hold conflicting thoughts

in our mind at the same time and really hone in on those distinctions.

And the idea of the Ivy League Street Fighter is that you have to be Ivy League polish and

professional, but also have the tenacity, the grit, and the determination of a Street Fighter.

But none of the bad side of either one also.

So this is why sales can seem so ambiguous at times.

And why you hear about art and science in it, because it has all of that.

And yet people also try and minimize it, and just with platitudes.
