I'm Lurie Daniel Favors, author, activist, attorney, and the host of the Lurie Daniel Favors show on Sirius X-XM's Urban View, Channel 126. If you like what you're about to hear, go ahead and give us five stars and then tell everybody that you know. And if you don't like it, just, child, keep it to yourself and pray our strength. Okay? Thank you so much. Also, don't forget to check out my YouTube page, Lurie Daniel Favor's Media, where you should subscribe, like and share because then you'll get notified when I post videos from my show, which I do just about every single day and when I go live with my YouTube audience. politics, and as he says in his bio, usually both in some sort of intertwined or interconnected

1:38.3

way. And he's also the author of the book American Prophets, the religious roots of progressive

1:43.4

politics and the ongoing fight for the soul of the country, American Prophets, the religious roots of progressive politics and the ongoing

1:45.0

fight for the soul of the country. Jack Jenkins, now, you have been writing about these issues

1:50.6

for a really long time, and I first came to know your work through Twitter, so thank God

1:55.4

for social media. And you've written an article called Why Christian Nationalists Love Trump.

2:02.8

And it was a little while ago earlier on in the Trump administration's tenure.

2:07.3

And I wanted to have you on because I really wanted to get a solid understanding as to what Christian

2:12.2

nationalism is, how it's showing up in our politics, and really giving us some food for thought as to whether or not

2:19.5

we're comfortable with that and whether or not this is something that is going to put the country

2:24.2

on a path forward or something that might lead us somewhere else. And so I'd like to just start

2:30.3
