Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the Biden administration's Department of Health and Human Services

over a new transgender health care rule. The rule would force Medicaid and health care

providers to cover and perform so-called surgical transition interventions under

Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. So any health care provider or medical institution that

refused to perform or pay for these interventions is liable to lose federal health care

funds. As Paxton said in the press release, quote, we're suing to stop the

administration from withholding federal health

care funds to force medical professionals to perform experimental and dangerous procedures,

end quote.

Even more, HHS issued this rule just as most other Western nations are hitting the breaks

on pushing forward with chemical and surgical gender transition interventions and calling it

so-called medical treatments.

Because far from treating the real issues,

these procedures just make things worse,

especially in the long run.

Under the Biden administration, HHS

is not serving health or humanity.
