Directed by David Blue Garcia, written by Chris Thomas Devlin, Fedé Alvarez, and Rodosayages,

starring Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Mark Burnham, and Alwyn Fueira.

And in this direct sequel to 1974's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, some idealistic

youngsters try to revitalize a rundown Texas town only to have their plans shattered by a long

dormant, yet surprisingly spry, leatherface.

If you're new to the show, we're going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first 15 or 20 minutes.

Can you believe it's been nearly 50 years since the original Texas chainsaw

Massacre, that's insane. So the original one was 70s, right? Yeah, 1974. So we're only

two years away from its 50th anniversary. That's incredible. Wow. And since then, you probably

have the counts of like the number of

French, oh yeah, the number of installments that have come out on this franchise. Yeah, yeah,

there are nine films. Okay, so nine films over 50s, including this one. Yeah, so it might be a

good time for me to run through those. There's the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Ridge, in 1974.
