I'm Oshvin. I'm on the phone with Brian. And on this week's episode, we're going to be talking

about a 2022 film, Scream, directed by Matt Betanelli-Ollupin

and Tyler Gillett, and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busek, and starring Melissa

Brewera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, and Jack Quaid.

In this fifth installment of the Scream franchise, a group of kids in Woodsboro are once again the target of a mass killer.

If you're new to the show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion up front.

We'll take a quick break, and then we'll dive into the plot, hit some of the spoilers, and get into our review.

Brian, were you excited to be back in theaters?

Yes. Well, were you excited to be back in theaters? Yes. I, well, no. Still feeling a little nervous about it?

I was excited to be finally seeing this movie because we kind of put it off for a while.

But yeah, yeah, I was excited to be seeing this movie. I actually had a good theater experience

recently when I went to see Lickorice pizza at a small local theater.

Oh, great. And this experience here with Scream was just fine. There were no obnoxious

teens, so everything was hung-y-dory for me. Yeah, that's great. So you saw Scream at this small

independent theater? No, I saw Scream at like the Megaplex. Oh, okay, nice.

Yeah, it was pretty dead.

I feel like when we went as well, and yeah, it's been out for like a month now, so I think

that helps avoid some of the teenagers.

Right.

But yeah, exciting to be back there.
