And then it happened. Soon after Latinx playwright Tanya Saracho got the green light to make a pilot for her

first TV series, she contracted a dangerous spinal infection.

But Saracho rallied and her spicy new show, Vida, has just premiered on the Stars Channel.

A former Chicago-based playwright, Saracho tells us about her horrible first experiences as a TV writer

So, wow, as we speak, there has just been fireworks around this strained relationship

between Leslie Moonvez, the CEO and chairman of CBS and Shary Redstone,

daughter of Sumner Redstone, the Redstone family, you know, controls both Viacom and CBS.

Sherry Redstone has very much wanted to merge Viacom with CBS.

Viacom is troubled.

It's got a lot of cable channels that are challenged.
