Summary

Amazon’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ tells the story of Midge Maisel--the perfect well-to-do 1950’s New York housewife who turns to stand-up comedy when her husband leaves her. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband and producing partner Daniel Palladino tell us about the work that goes into filming a period series in Manhattan and their painstaking process for selecting music for the show.

1:12.4	So, Matt, a day that many people dreamed about happening, that finally happened, Harvey Weinstein turning himself in in New York.
1:20.7	We are not totally clear as we speak on exactly what charges he's facing, but clearly this
1:26.5	involves sexual assault.
1:27.8	We are told it involves a woman Lucia Evans, who claims that he forced her to perform oral sex in 2004.
1:35.7	She had been one of the accusers who was, you know, had told a story of being very resistant to being alone with Harvey Weinstein in a hotel room and trying to take precautions and nonetheless
1:44.8	being told that someone else would be there and it turns out someone else wasn't. It's one of
1:49.3	the accounts that was reported among the many, many against Harvey Weinstein. You know, he's being
1:54.8	investigated in multiple jurisdictions and I can only say, as we're talking, I just got a text
1:59.8	from an accuser of another alleged perpetrator, a story that will be revealed subsequently.
2:04.4	And she just texted me, hell froze over, because so many women have felt like this is a day that wouldn't come.
