talks about temptation beginning in verse 13.

He wants us to understand this concept and how it works.

Temptation is solicitation to do evil.

It is being solicited to sin in order to cut short our spiritual development and experience of God's will.

I mean, after all, Matthew 4 verse 1, it says,

the Spirit of the Lord, let Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

So the Spirit was leading him and devil was tempting him and both were happening at the same time.

So when we face temptation, often we're facing God at work, Satan at work, simultaneously.

When we face temptation, we are facing a choice.

Do we love God more or sin more?

He says, let no man say when he is tempted, he is tempted of God because God cannot be tempted with sin.

See, God has no receiver in him to receive sin.
