Davy, the first time I met you was at Pride. All of the floats were lining up for the parade and I was walking to meet up with some friends. You didn't know it, but that was my very first pride event. I was nervous. I was trying to figure out how I could fit in with all these people when I wasn't even out of the closet yet.

And when I walked by, you grinned at me and you said, happy pride.

Several years later, I finally was able to meet you as my authentic self at your comedy show in Atlanta this past April.

I was able to tell you part of my story about how being able to transition changed my life for the better.
