After the past several weeks, we've had glimpses of what our first responders have faced in the midst of this global pandemic.

It's been an incredible challenge for many of them. From the increased and unpredictable workload to the lack of resources and the fear of being infected themselves,

they've had a hell of a lot on their plate.

To the varying degrees that COVID has impacted all our lives,

nothing can compare to those who have been fighting for other people's

lives while putting their own health, sanity, and lives at risk. Anytime I'm tempted to complain

about my personal bouts with Cabot fever, I remind myself that I have it easy as compared to

countless caregivers all over the world.

Photographer Megan Kwasniak is one of those people.

She is a doctor specializing in emergency medicine and a hospital in Southern Florida.

Though her hospital hasn't faced the onslaught of cases of cities like New York, she and her co-workers

have had to meet similar challenges, not least of which was the unique nature of this disease.

With images and words, she has shared her experiences on our website's blog.

I am grateful to her for finding the time to share part of her world right now with us today.
