Today we are covering a topic that I personally have wanted to cover for so long, and that is what's going on with Taylor Swift and her dad? Like I've just heard rumors for years that there might be a little bit of a testy relationship between the two of them. Her parents aren't officially divorced, but they got separated

a few years ago. And there have just been a lot of rumors swirling about like, is Taylor

controlled by her dad, the way that she was crying to her dad to be able to come out as a Democrat

during the Miss Americana documentary. And then there was an email that was leaked years ago. And I

never read it because it was really, really long. But for this episode, I did. And everything that

came out in the email that Taylor Swift's dad sent to her old manager back when she was like a kid

is absolutely crazy. It makes you think of the dad differently,

then it makes you think of Taylor Swift's origin story differently, the whole family. And it's like,

what is really the truth of what's going on here? So I'm excited to dive into it. And I think I'm

also interested in it because my brother met Taylor Swift's dad on a boat years ago. Back when he was living in the Tampa area, I'm sure

he doesn't live there now. This was like 12 years ago. And I actually told that story. It was one of

my first Patreon episodes. I had all of my family members talk about a celebrity that they had met.

Mel Gibson had hit on my mom. My dad went on a double date with Meg Ryan because his friend was dating her. The more people

But for today, we're going to be talking about everything to do with the lawsuit, the leaked emails, and what might be going on with Taylor Swift and her dad. Now, I grew up as an original Swifty. Like the very first time I heard Taylor's

voice, it was in my dad's Prius where country radio music was playing. I heard tear drops on my guitar. And even though Taylor doesn't have like a Mariah Carey or a Beyonce type of voice, I heard that song and I was like, this girl's going to be a god to me. I went home. I watched the music video, the lyrics. I was a Swifty

from like day one. And because of that, any of the early Swifties will know, you grow up knowing the

origin story. I could still prattle off everything about Taylor Swift's origin story. I'm doing air

quotes if you're listening to the podcast. But I could still tell you every single thing about her origin

story to this day. Oh my God, she always loved music. She was writing songs. There was this guy

that fixed the computer in the house and he taught her a few chords on the guitar. So she started playing

guitar. She made songs off of that. She was making her own demos and sending them into places.

Oh, my God, what an ambitious 11-year-old. And then her and her family moved to Nashville because she really wanted to do
