Corey, previously of Kardashian Colloquium and now back on the podcast as a published author of the new book, Deconstructing the Kardashians. Welcome back to the show. How are you doing?

Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to like be spending my pub day with you. Same here. Well, I'm so excited that your book is out in the

world because I remember you were one of the first guests we had on Fluently Forward years ago.

And I've just always been so interested and fascinated in what you do online because you basically

look at the Kardashians as almost like a

vessel or an interpretation of everything that's going on in pop culture and media.

And I've just always been so fascinated.

And I think my audience is too in looking at pop culture with like an intellectual lens or

seeing what's beneath it.

So before we get into your new book,

tell us a little bit about what got you started on the internet with Kardashian Colloquium

and this idea of looking at celebrities and seeing what they stand for.

So I got into keeping up with the Kardashians a little late. The Kardashians, of course,

had always inundated my media feeds as well with their

images and their stories, but I never really kept up. But in 2018, a friend put on the show. It was the

Bora Bora episode where Kim is like being a diva. It's a really good one all over the resort.

And Rob doesn't like it. And he says some very memeable things first. And then he says, mom, raise you better than that.

Dad raised you better than that. And there was a moment where even though this episode had been

perfectly constructed, like it was clearly, you know, classic Kardashian story with some rising

action and then drama and it was just perfectly edited. It was very structured.

Kim looked genuinely embarrassed.

And she kind of glanced over at Chris Humphreys.
