It was a wild 24 hours for President Donald Trump's economic policy.

On Wednesday nights, a panel of judges blocked most of his sweeping tariffs, saying he didn't

have the authority to impose them. But by yesterday evening, an appeals court had temporarily paused that decision,

ordering both sides to make their case in writing by early June. So what does that mean for

consumers and businesses? CNN's Phil Mattingly says the answer is more uncertainty.

President Trump's reciprocal tariff, that 10% global tariff on all U.S. imports, the currently

paused reciprocal tariffs on 60 plus countries, 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, 30% tariffs

on China, those still stand for the moment.

Behind the scenes, negotiations on a bilateral basis with up to 18 U.S. allies, those are still

ongoing for the moment.

The current agreement with China, that still stands for the moment as well.
