A federal appeals court has paused a ruling that blocked President Donald Trump's tariffs.

On Wednesday, the Court of International Trade ruled that Trump didn't have the authority to impose

tariffs under the International Economic Powers Act. And today, a second federal judge similarly ruled that Trump's global tariffs were invoked illegally.

The federal appeals court ordered both sides to provide written arguments on the question

of blocking Trump's tariffs to be filed by early next month.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says U.S. Trade Representative Jameson Greer

heard from other countries that, quote, intend to continue trade negotiations.

Here's what she told the press prior to the appeals court's ruling.

Other countries around the world have faith in the negotiator-in-chief, President Donald

J. Trump. And they also probably see how ridiculous this ruling is,

and they understand that the administration is going to win,

and we intend to win.
