special to have with me to Raji P Henson one of the most talented and popular

actresses working today.

The 45 year old first crossed most people's radar back in 2005 when she started as Shug, a

mousey prostitute who finds her voice in Craig Brewer's Hustle and Flow.

She then made a similar impression in an even bigger movie,

David Finchers the curious case of Benjamin Button,

in which she played the caretaker of a reverse-aging Brad Pitt

and received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress.

But her biggest role by far has been that of Cookie Lion, the matriarch of a complicated music

industry family in Lee Daniels Empire, one of the highest rated

shows on television, for which she's received a Best Actress in a Drama Series

Golden Globe Award and now back-to-back Emmy nominations as well.
