here. It's Monday, May 11th. I'm flying out to Salt Lake City, Utah later today for the Corey

I plan to go live sporadically. Tomorrow I'm going to Goplin State Park and is supposed to be

amazingly beautiful, so I'll probably go live from there. And then I'll go live after the sentencing

if the families give a statement and hopefully do a little recap later that evening. I'm only taking my

little portable microphones. So hopefully the audio will be okay, but it's too

heavy and I really need to get a good small travel mic, but we'll see how this works.

I'm ready to see the final stamp of Justice for Eric Richens put on paper and Corey to be sent

away for the rest of her life. And I'm sure the victim impact statements will be very powerful.

But for this episode, we are going to do a little brief overview of what death row is like in Texas

since Tanner Horner has now been transferred

to the state's designated facility for all death row inmates. Let's look at some of the numbers.

The shortest time on death row prior to execution was 252 days. The longest, 32 years. The average time on death row until execution is 11 years.

Back when the Constitution was written, it was a matter of days or weeks.

98% of death row inmates are men.

There are three scheduled executions this year with the next scheduled for this week, May 14th.

Emmates on death row are assigned special numbers that begin with DR for death row that's on

the collar of their shirt. As far as the appeals process, it can take years or decades due to the
