0:51.3	us. Hi, how are you ladies? And thank you so much for having me.
0:56.0	Well, we're excited to talk with you and wonder if you can tell us more about why you wrote the book.
1:01.0	I wrote State of Emergency because after the death of George Floyd, where I had traveled from Louisville, Kentucky. I just literally just met
1:15.1	the family of Brianna Taylor and was so saddened by what happened to her. I then traveled to
1:22.9	Indianapolis and I visited with another family whose child had been killed by police.
1:30.3	And then of course we ended up in Minneapolis in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd where Minneapolis was really burning.
1:38.3	I mean, people were outraged. There was so much, so many actions and so much happening all over the city. And the next
1:50.1	morning when I got up and had to attend the press conference, I literally was just enrage.
1:57.8	And I spoke from my heart. Usually I prepare, but I didn't have time, nor did I even,
2:03.0	I don't think I ever would have. I think I was prepared my whole life to just say what was true.
2:08.5	And when I finished speaking, there were people that just started pulling me left and right and
2:14.1	sort of like this virtual book tour that I'm on for a state of emergency,
