It's difficult to talk about belief these days, given both the current political and literal

climate. So I'd like to relay the words of Episcopal Bishop, Rob Hirschfield, to his parishioners

and staff, stating that they're to expect a new era of martyrdom and giving them guidance to get their affairs in order and make their wills,

as to quote,

now may not be the time for statements, but for us with our bodies to put ourselves between the powers that be and the vulnerable.

This refers, of course, to recent events, recent deaths in Minnesota.

Now I can argue the irrationality of some of the motivation for this bravery, but if someone

garbs themselves in their faith to put themselves in harm's way between evil and the innocent, then, that's a

paladin, a holy warrior of virtue. And if you've ever played D&D, you know you stick by your

paladin. So the question remains whose side is God on. Is it on the side of these men of the cloth

who defend the weak and the downtrodden? Or is it on the side of these men of the cloth who defend the weak and the downtrodden?

Or is it on the side of the men in masks with guns, taking lives and freedoms in plain daylight under the auspices of justice?
