This is Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night, and welcome.

We're only a few weeks out from our latest flash fiction contest, so it's time to start

sharpening your quills and filling your inkwells.

In order to get those dark ideas flowing, though, I'm guessing you'd probably like to know

the theme of the contest, wouldn't you?

Well, the devious minds of our editorial team have cooked up a

suitably shadowy subject to inspire you. Secret societies. Those nefarious puppet masters that

manipulate the strings from the shadows. I'll let that percolate for now.

Give you just a little nugget to hopefully plant a sinister seed in your mind.

I'll have more details to share in the coming weeks as we approach the start of February

and the opening of our contest.

But in the meantime, let's dish you up some fresh nightmares to wet your appetite.
