As I mentioned last week, our newest flash fiction contest kicks off at the start of February.

That's just a couple weeks away.

It's open to everyone.

So, whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting to flex your creative muscle, it's a great

way to hone the old horror writing chops.

Our theme this go is secret societies.

What do we mean by secret societies?

Well, not to be confused with cults.

Secret societies are a membership of like-minded beings,

driven less by a shared dogma, and more by the desire to manipulate

outcomes from the shadows to meet their own ends, often to shape the world or our very

existence. Of course, you can interpret that how you may.

While the contest doesn't start for a couple of weeks yet, I'm hoping a little heads-up will

give you the inside track and a little extra time to test your skills and hone your craft.

No need to wait to start scratching that hitch.
