Welcome to Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night.

Went our way back to our home base, our cabin in Virginia, but I'm dragging my feet because of the snow.

It's gotten much better since we talked last week, but there are still some about.

I've also just changed jobs.

My previous one had quite a nasty commute for it, and the new one does not.

The new one is involved in an educational institution, and I was able to make the change

literally just before the snow started coming down for last week's snowstorm.

I found out that it was called Winterstorm Jonas.

However, because schools are some of the first to close during inclement weather, I had

my first day

at the new job, then a rather unexpected four-day weekend, during which I only went so

far outside to shovel out the cars that were not yet safe to drive.

Again, snow removal.

Now I bring all of that up because I do like to contemplate our genre.

It's a strange genre, isn't it? Our friends at Starship's sofa, like sci-fi, because it's a cool setting.

Or there can be explorations of upclumbing or futuristic technologies influence on our species or our ethics.

Farfetched fables, easy.
