Welcome to Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night.

As promised, we will be returning to a more, shall we say,

vanilla, tales to terrify for a little while. Our trip south was completed and we will return to the cabin

in the Commonwealth of Virginia, at least for a little while before the wanderlust sets in again.

Although, we won't be returning this week. As I'm recording this, the northern part of Virginia

sits under about two feet of snow, maybe a bit more or less depending on where you live. In fact,

most parts between my knees and shoulders are pretty sore from shoveling. Now, our listeners

from further west and north may be getting their daily exercise of eye rolling hearing about

two feet of snow.

But it's unexpected for Virginians. When I lived in Denver, they had great snow removal

infrastructure. When the snow was falling, the trucks were already rolling. In Ohio, they spent

most of the first snow trying to figure out who has the keys to the plows. And just to make sure

my commentary about snow isn't too far off topic,

if you want to talk about terrifying, well, Virginia drivers during that first snow, particularly.

Well, I suppose it's survival of the fittest around here.
