Welcome to Tales to Terrify. Good evening, Children of the Night.

I am your host, Stephen Kilpatrick. Come on back into our home,

the cabin, and the Shenandoah. It's still very much winter here in this part of the world,

for those of you that have commented thank you for your feedback on our trip south, which has been

completely positive, and we'll return to something similar at some point in the future.

But for now, basic tales to terrify, and her stories will continue as normal.

Tonight we have a single story for you from Kim Newman.

Kim was born in Brixton, London, in 1959 to parents who were potters.

In school, he became interested in monsters, movies, literature, comics, and so forth,

and would also work on theater with humor sketches and musical or comedy groups.

He also played Malvolio in 12th Night.

Later, he'd write plays and musicals which were put on at the Bridgewater Arts Center.

After selling a review of The Last House on the left, he started working regularly as a film critic.
