we can plan a little ahead and a weekly perspective allows us to pace ourselves. But understanding that things can change

week to week can, believe it or not, allow us to relax. So every fall my children

have a new school and activity schedule and with five

children there can be a lot of moving parts. I am so grateful that many of their

activities have started up again after such a long break. But baseball games happen at

varying times and certain other classes are available for some weeks and not others. My impulse

is to make a master schedule stretching out for months.

Then I wouldn't have to think about it again.

At least in theory.

But the truth is, stuff comes up.

Circumstances change.

Let's just say that the activity conflicts I was worried about for March through June of this year
