Sweda province right now. I welcome Emma Jarbo, a member of the Sweda American Society, as well

as a member of the American Druze Society. She comes to us from Texas. Emma, a very good evening

to you. Last week, Malcolm and I spoke with a colleague of ours, and he was in Chicago, Drew's in the diaspora.

And he said he'd been on the phone with his brother, a judge in Soweda, during the worst of the tragedy.

And his brother was frightened to raise his voice, even though it was a cell phone connection and earned help sometimes,

because there were gunmen outside who would come in and kill him.

That story remained with me during the week.

Please explain what's happened in Suwaita because it's darkness visible in all of Syria, but especially in

Suwaita. We can't see in. Good evening to you. Good evening, John. Thank you for having me.

The situation ever since the Ashara took over and became president,, these jihadis, he originally came from ISIS. He has

a jihadis background. And we continued to do the same thing after he became a president. He

really controlled the government, didn't have any representative of any group minorities in Syria.

He previously attacked Alawi Christians and Drews and other areas back in April as well.

And now, they've been trying to find a reason to intersweida.

I believe they just created a narrative.

There were been issues between the Bedouins and the Druze and Swayda,

who have been living together in peace forever.

But it just, I feel like somebody wanted to escalate this to have a reason to enter the city.

And they came supposedly to resolve the conflict between the bedrooms and the droos.

They came in tanks.
