Welcome to the first edition of Shift the Mobility Podcast.

Today we'll be taking a look at South by Southwest, where Pete and I both were last week. We're talking a little

bit about Navigant's Leaderboard, which spells out who's winning in the self-driving car race.

We'll also talk about some of the latest news in the self-driving vehicle

industry including the DOT taking action on GM's request to build a car with no

steering wheel or pedals and we'll also recap the AAA study

that came out earlier this week which takes the latest look at consumer

attitudes toward self-driving cars. And then we talked to Jim Adler,

who is the founding director of Toyota's AI Ventures.

So Pete, we were both down in Austin, Texas this week.

I don't know about you, but I am always tempted to get

tattoos and eat tacos while I'm in Austin. How about you? You know, I can agree with the

latter of those two things, but I had no such temptation to get a tattoo.
