Wanted to start off the top of this podcast by talking about pies in this holiday season.

Yes, I have a tendency to talk a little bit about food things, things that get people

hot and bothered, food takes, and on social media, I've certainly had a tendency to poke

and prod, be a little bit of a gadfly.

I don't like to think that I'm trolling, but yeah, you could probably say I'm trolling

pie lovers, particularly pumpkin pie.

And I just don't understand it.

I don't love it.

If someone made it for me, of course, I'm going to eat it.

Like anything, if someone lovingly made something, I'm going to eat it.

Because that's something I go out of my way to eat.

If I do eat it, I'm going to eat around the pumpkin filling, the sweet spicy gourd filling

in the crust or the whipped cream.

And no one eats pumpkin pie year round.

It's only this holiday season.

When's the last time you saw pumpkin pie year round exactly?

It's just something that doesn't make any sense to me.

And I remember when you are going through Halloween season, that's what a pumpkin's

for, a jackalantern or some kind of fall late fall decoration.
