If you've been with us this week, then you know we're talking about boosting productivity.

Feel Good productivity is all about focusing on building more positive emotions in our work and

in our lives, which waterfalls into more productivity for good.

Often when we want to be more productive, we go to quick fixes that don't last and that often lead to burnout.

So today we're going to talk about how to avoid the traps of short-term productivity

that leave you drained, disappointed and ultimately defeated. All right, so, burnout is broadly when we feel like we don't have the energy to do the things that we actually want to do.

And there's three main causes of burnout.

The first one is over exertion burnout when we're just simply trying to do too much

and not taking enough breaks in between the things that we're trying to do. We're

overexerting ourselves. We're just expending too much energy.

The second type of burnout is depletion burnout,

which sort of overlaps with over-exertion,

but depletion burnout is when we run out of energy and we're not finding appropriate ways to recharge it.

And then the third one is the most insidious form of burnout, and I call that misalignment burnout.

That is when we feel that sense of burnout.

We feel that draining and energy.

When the things that we're doing

feel like they're misaligned with where we actually want to be.

And sometimes this is conscious, sometimes it's unconscious,
