Hello, friends and neighbors. Welcome to the Bill Press Pod. We all agree, especially in turbulent times,

the ship of state needs a calm, steady, experienced hand at the health. And that's just the opposite of what we have today with Donald Trump, a hothead with zero

experience in foreign policy who acts on impulse no matter the consequences.

What a contrast with all previous presidents, both Republican and Democrat, who, if they

didn't know a lot about foreign policy, at least

surrounded themselves with and listened to experts who did. Experts like Susan Rice, former

Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs under President Clinton, and former ambassador

to the United Nations Nations and National Security Advisor

for President Obama. Nobody knows the field of foreign policy better, and nobody's spoken out more

strongly about the danger posed by Donald Trump's reckless conduct of foreign affairs.

Her new book is called Tough Love. I interviewed Ambassador Rice this

week before an audience at the Hill Center on Capitol Hill in Washington. We have had many

wonderful guests here at the Hill Center. We're really honored tonight to have a very special

guest, a great American, a Rhodes Scholar, who's served

in the Clinton administration as a special assistant to the president for African affairs.

I should also mention that it was Deputy Secretary of State also in the Clinton.
