If you've ever played capture the flag, the last thing you want to have to do is surrender.

But in God's kingdom, it's the best thing that could happen to you.

When the gospel opened my eyes, I remember one of my first acts of surrender was

breaking up with my boyfriend who was in a Christian. But surrender is not just a one-time event.

As a Christian, we are constantly surrendering, constantly letting go of the ways of the flesh

in the world. So in this episode, Alex will be talking about why we need to surrender,

why we can't surrender, and how to surrender by continuing our series in Matthew will be in Matthew

chapter 4 verses 18 through 22. If this is your first time listening, last week we talked about

shade and here is some of the responses we wanted to share with you.

Our question was how will you move shades? Hannah's response was actually being obedient in my

personal convictions. The human spirit is so stubborn but God really does know what's best.

He knows when something is hurting my soul even if I can't fully see it.

Daughter of Christ said as a 16-year-old girl who has devoted herself to Christ,

shade is thrown at me by the world for not being like it. However, I'm reminded of John 15 verse 18,

which reminds me that I can hide under him. That's good. This episode will encourage you to,

sister. We're talking about that a little bit more in this episode.

And Suzy T said one great way to move shade from darkness to to Christ is to turn off the phone,
