If you're a low income person or if you're on Social Security and you don't get much so you don't have to file income taxes,

you have until today to fill out a form and

apply to get the 500 bucks for your kids and if you don't do it today, you will not be able

to reapply. This is for the stimulus check, you won't be able to

reapply until next year.

The latest little roadblock that the Trump administration has put up to make sure that low-income people don't get any

money.

I understand that the Trump administration is proposing to try to help out low-income

people, particularly people on Social Security who are getting such a small

amount of Social Security that they don't need to file taxes every year.

Tell me about this benevolent new action coming out of Donald Trump and Mike Pence and friends?

Oh absolutely, but nevolence is exactly what it is. So late Monday afternoon, right around 5 o'clock, the IRS drops a notice on their website

and they email it to people who have signed up to receive these specific notices, which you know I do because I'm the

executive director of Social Security works.org but these are not widely read circulars and they say that anybody who is receiving social security

and has a dependent child who qualifies for the five hundred500 economic recovery check has to apply by Wednesday, by tomorrow at noon
