A few months after this shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a friend sent me a link

to watch. It was Bill Moyer's interview with David and Francine Wheeler, who six-year-old

son Ben was among the 26 who were killed that day, and I watched, astounded. Astounded by

their grace, their poise, their depth of being. Before that horrible day in December, the

Wheeler's had been a typical suburban family, never imagining the turn their lives would
