Hi, I'm Dave.

I've been walking for fitness since 2013,

averaging just about 21,000 steps a day. I'm walking right now and would love to have you

join me for the next 10 minutes or so. What you can't see is how today's walk is different.

Typically, I record this early in the morning at the front end of my walk before the sun is even up.

And today, I thought we could enjoy a little sunshine therapy together. So this is the back end of my walk. I've got some sunshine on my shoulders

making me happy. Remember that John Denver song from the early 70s? Sunshine on my shoulders.

That was the first line. Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy.

He actually wrote that on a gray, dreary, cold, slushy day in Minnesota.

And he was feeling melancholy and thinking about how sunshine makes him happy.

And so he wrote the song. By the way, quick John Denver detour.

Ava played John Denver's greatest hits a few days ago.

And some of those songs I hadn't heard in forever

and reminded me of just how much I loved listening to John Denver on the radio.

And, of course, I'm from Maryland, big fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
