From ABC News, I'm Wayne Cabot. The ice that is stranding drivers and cutting power across the

south is spreading tonight into the interior southeast and mid-Atlantic. Now it's getting bad across

South Carolina. It's cold. It gets dark earlier. It's wet. So the conditions are very treacherous.

Grayson Kelly of Blue Ridge Electric saying restoring power could take days, even with crews

from other states being called in. Tennessee is calling up more National Guard to help

people out in the state where a third of a million

customers have no power tonight. Alex Prettie, who federal agents killed yesterday, was a nurse at the

Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins has sent condolences to his

family, but blames the killing on local officials, who, he says, refused to cooperate

with the federal government. His killing by ICE is the second in recent weeks in Minneapolis,

after citizen Renee Good was shot in her car. Reacting to yesterday's fatal shooting, her family's

lawyer saying in a statement, we urge all Americans to trust their own eyes as they interpret the

horrific video.

Alex Preti was a licensed gun owner, but videos show him holding a cell phone, not a weapon,

before a border patrol agent shot him.
